It’s hard to find him live, especially in the UK, but it’s well worth the effort. His simple performance, just him, his guitar and a small supporting band don’t dazzle, but let you enjoy the loving atmosphere, his astounding vocals and his great lyrics. A singer with a soft voice and great lyrics reminiscent of singers like Ed Sheeran, he originally posted his music on Myspace until he eventually got signed to a record label and released his first full album in 2009, Constellation Me, the lead single from which, ‘Superman’, was a popular record from his Myspace days, and continued to prove popular once released. Joe Brooks is one of those people who are both annoyingly cute and annoyingly talented.
